So what's the catch with this "phone bail" thing anyway? We're so glad you asked! Our competitors often say they'll do bail bonds over the phone in Las Vegas just to get you to call them. They figure once they have you on the line, they can "reel" you in by making you jump through an obstacle course of tasks just to get your loved one out of jail. A Hope Bail Bonds will simply not do that. 9 times out of 10, if you or the defendant are working, established residency, and have a major credit or debit card handy, we can do it right over the phone. It's pretty simple. Now we made it even easier by allowing payment plans for your bail bonds right over the phone too!
What is a Las Vegas bail bond? Simply put, bail bonds are what the courts take in the place of the full cash bail amount to secure the release of your loved one from jail. A bail bond can sort of be viewed as a “check” that the court will not “cash” unless the arrestee misses a scheduled court event. If the person out on bail misses a mandatory appearance, the court will send a letter to your Las Vegas bail bondsman threatening to cash that bond if the offender is not brought back to court or jail. This is the primary reason why bounty hunters or bail enforcement agents would be dispatched—to prevent the forfeiture of the bail bonds agency’s money.
Who is eligible for bail bonds in Las Vegas? The short answer: Almost anyone arrested for a crime or warrant in the Las Vegas, Henderson, or North Las Vegas areas are able to be bonded out. Don’t wait long to call your bail bondsman either because often times, a bail amount is set the moment they are booked into a jail facility.
Where is your bail bonds office? We are at 800 S. Casino Center Blvd on the southwest corner where Gass Avenue and Casino Center meet. You cannot miss our beautifully updated brown building with patriotic signage and FREE parking! While you are free to “Walk-in” for service, we now offer convenient “bail by phone” 24 hours a day to save many folks the trip downtown!
How do we pay you for your bail services? We try to make it as easy as possible. We obviously take cash, but easily can accept debit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We can take your card right over the phone too! Business checks and personal checks are also acceptable almost always. Payment plans for bail bonds in Las Vegas are always available, and qualifying for our no interest financing is way easier than most people think! 100% financing is available for those times when your pay periods are just timed wrong.
Some other office said they could do it for less, why are you charging more? WARNING!! Watch out for companies that quote you less than the 15% fee mandated by Nevada law. It is against the law for a company to quote more or less than 15% of the bail amount. If you can only come up with say 5% or so, that is fine. We’ll work out a convenient payment plan to get your loved one out of jail pronto. You don’t want to start a business relationship with anyone who is breaking the law. They will rarely treat you right in the end.
Do I get my money back once they go to court? If you had to leave the bail bonds company in Las Vegas collateral (cash money, credit card payment, or property above and beyond the 15% to secure the bond), yes you will have it returned to you. However, the 15% fee is non-refundable, and is the “premium” paid to the bonding company who is risking the full amount.
What am I on the hook for when I bail someone out of a Las Vegas area jail? As the co-signer or indemnitor (bail bonds lingo) on someone’s bail bond, you are responsible for the bail agency’s out-of-pocket expenses should your loved one miss court. If the person flat out skips bail never to return, you will be responsible for 100% of the original bail amount. Usually if there is a missed court date, as long as the defendant is willing to make things right, there are no expenses at all, or if there is, it is very minor.
Can you help with my outstanding warrants in Las Vegas? Many times, absolutely yes! Please don’t surrender yourself into custody or pay exorbitant fees to get our of warrant without calling a bail bondsman first. Often we can get you out of your City of Las Vegas or North Las Vegas warrant for a fraction of the full amount. We can often help you get a new court date and prevent you from being arrested in Las Vegas.
Is there a way to get a discount on my Las Vegas bail bond? Yes, mention our website promotion code: FREEFILINGFEE2014, and we will pay your $50 court filing fee once you pay the full 15% premium in advance. The total bail amount must be $2,000 or more on this promotion.
