Please folks, understand that this young lady was given numerous chances to get her act together. She changed addresses multiple times without updating her bondsman or the court, changed her phone number several times, and missed more physical check in appointments than we can count here at A Hope. But we were nice to a fault. We allowed her to enjoy the Superbowl and Valentines Day with her man-child on our dime. Now her boy-toy needs to start working some double shifts and OT because phase 3 is collections! I hope he understands the out-of-pocket money we spend to arrest her is on loan. Stay warm in PA my friend! Hard to find your next future girlfriend when the high temp is like 16 degrees, and they're not clubbing or bar hopping!
Here at A Hope Bail Bonds we truly go the extra mile to keep you out of jail. However when you decide to skip out on multiple court cases (sentencing dates at that) and relocate to the East Coast, make sure you go the Witness Protection route because you will be found. Unfortunately a young lady had to learn that the hard way. She'll have 32 hours in shackles listening to Bod Dillon in a Ford Focus rental car to ponder the consequences of understanding baloney and cheese sandwiches will be her staple meal for the next few years. All she really did was prolong the inevitable and make a few bounty hunters wallets a bit fatter in the meanwhile.

Well for once and insane crime like this did not actually occur in the Las Vegas area. This robbery happened in Carson City Nevada about 2 weeks ago. A woman confronted the elderly gal in her garage on or around December 4th this year and grabbed her purse by force. The victim's purse contained several hundred dollars at least. Three women were arrested Tuesday, and one apparantly still had the poor lady's Nevada drivers license on her. Not really the brightest out there committing these robberies I suppose. There is no word as to whether the women have posted bail or retained attorneys.
No doubt this crime has occurred in multiple areas of the Greater Las Vegas area in recent years, but just recently a homeowner, who was "hit"around Thanksgiving was "hit" again for the Christmas season as her inflatable Saint Nicholas from her yard. The homeowner was able to catch the act on a surveillance system thanks to a neighbor. It appears men jumped from a truck and snatched it from the property located in the southern part of the valley in the Crystal Springs neighborhood.
It is safe to say if the perpetrators are caught they could be facing charges stemming from burglary, to trespassing, to vandalism, to theft, etc. This ranges from misdemeanor criminal offenses to felonies. Hopefully justice will be served quickly and efficiently in this matter. Merry Christmas all! And to the thieves, come on and do the right thing. Turn yourselves in or return the property. :) We're just curious to see everyone's take on the situations regarding police brutality that have been in the national news cycle recently. As bondsmen, we often have front-row seats relating to the how, who, and why of those who have police contact and go to jail. In our experiences it would seem very few complain about mistreatment from Las Vegas Metro or local police. And even less complain about unfair treatment with regard to their race, ethnic background, or socio-economic status. In our world where it seems everyone who we bail out is "innocent, or their was a major "misunderstanding," it would seem logical that bail agents would hear more of those types of complaints if it was reality. That's not to say that police never abuse authority because they do. Speaking for myself, a 30+ year old white male who grew up in a middle class family, I've even experienced police contact that was extreme, rude, and in my mind, unfair.
Never have I been arrested myself, but in the moments where I could see something going downhill if I had "attitude" with an officer, I immediately became humble, and I believe it has paid huge dividends. Honestly I've avoided arrests at least twice due to my demeanor (in my opinion). I don't believe that grace was due to my race (coincidental rhyme). In my younger days I can recall being handcuffed and even thrown to the ground for really no apparant reason, but I always knew to respect their position of authority. I feel honestly my experiences would not be much more different had I been a minority, but I agree that it would be logical to assume race played a factor if that was the case. I'd love to hear anybody else's take or experience though. Thankfully, a corrections officer at the Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) used quick thinking to enter his cell after noticing him laying down in a curious position. The fighter was likely attempting to hang or asphyxiate himself in his cell. War Machine (formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver) is now under suicide watch at the Las Vegas detention center. He is facing a slew of felony charges including the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend. There is no bail set for him and he awaits further court hearings.
It is becoming pretty apparent that violence and crime activity is getting more substantial here in the Las Vegas area, and if one checks national news, it seems escalating everywhere else too. Again we see a news story out of North Las Vegas, where a police officer was shot at. Luckily, the officer is okay. The shooter however, was shot dead by police during the foot chase and ensuing shootout. An officer in Phoenix is recovering after being shot in the face by a perpetrator following a traffic stop. Severe domestic violence cases and high profile arrests are making local and national headlines. Crimes against little children are all over the news. Heart-breaking stuff. Sometimes I wonder if it really is getting worse or is it the age of instant news creating an increased perception of crime? I believe it's likely a combo of both factors. Things are getting worse, and we learning about it a lot faster too.
It would seem to me that there has to be a correlation or even a cause and effect relationship with our society's (local and national) indifference and sometimes I fear hatred toward the things of God. The more devoted to the world we become, the more apparent the dismal aftermath of our behavior becomes. Attention to anyone out there who enjoys good endings in movies or success stories! We're here to tell you about something that just might be up your alley! Hope For Prisoners, a local non-profit organization, is holding a graduation ceremony for another class of folks who completed their intensive vocational reentry training. These graduations are clearing a major life hurdle that will propel them to success after incarceration. Being equipped with the proper encouragement, attitude, and job skills is essential in them succeeding in their new chapter of life. The ceremony will happen tomorrow at 4:30pm at their main offices located near E. Flamingo and Pecos Road. Distinguished guests and refreshments will be on hand. We're proud to say that we've actually helped some recent graduates of the program secure bail bonds here in Las Vegas. Additionally, we're honored to be a community partner of H4P! For extra details on the event, or directions, etc., feel free to contact us at the bail bonds office any time. Jim or Matt are happy to speak with you. We are hearing that complaint a lot. As an experiment you can try to "google" or "yahoo" search the terms: BAIL BONDS BOULDER CITY or some like term and a laundry list of options seem to pop up as results. 51,300 results are reported according to my last independent google research experiment. Why is it then only 1 or 2 out of them all seem to be able to help? What are the odds that that one company you happen to call will be grumpy at 2am when your loved one gets a Boulder City DUI or a domestic violence or battery case in Boulder City? I'd say extremely high.
That is....unless you call A Hope! We are one of the few companies in Southern Nevada qualified to post our own bail bonds there, and we are the friendliest bail agency in Nevada already! Customer service is our first priority, followed closely by flexiblity (with payment plans), speed, and expertise. We charge the lowest fees for Boulder City allowed by the law. Give us a shot! Call (702) 825-2245 any time: night or day! It happens almost daily in the Las Vegas area. There is a little dust-up at home or work. Or maybe a bit of an argument that gets out of hand while visiting the great city of Las Vegas. There could be confusion or an altercation at a restaurant or small business or maybe trouble with another tourist. Someone where you're located calls the police or threatens to. Nothing happens right at that moment. No one comes to arrest you. No Las Vegas metro cop shows up giving you even a warning. Then a few days pass. You find out through the grapevine or by a summons in the mail that you have a WARRANT FOR YOUR ARREST! This news can be devastating and leave you almost paralyzed! Relax and take a breather. Then immediately pick up the phone and call A Hope Bail Bonds at (702) 825-BAIL. We are experts at this type of damage control.
Combining our expertise and perhaps a free lawyer consultation (we can help refer to at least 3 flexible attorneys willing to help you now. Even at odd hours they can assist), we can take the sting out of it. With a bail bond, you can spend little to no time in jail. Don't feel alone, embarrassed, or ashamed. This stuff happens to ALL sorts of respectable folks and celebrities even. We promise to keep things 100% CONFIDENTIAL and protect your privacy and dignity. Not to mention, we offer payment plans with 0% interest and sometimes we can even help you clear the warrant right over the phone! From the cop on patrol to the area command captains the message from the Las Vegas Metropolitian Police is always the same: "We can't arrest our way out!"
Law enforcement in Las Vegas is challenging due to the large numbers of inmates that are released in Nevada. Every year the Nevada Department of Corrections releases 5,000 inmates onto the streets of our communities here in Las Vegas. Most of these men and women no money, housing, transportation or a job. Many have no family to help them make the transition. The police, the courts, the prisons and our county and muncipal jails admit that what they have been doing hasn't been effective. A few years ago law enforcement in Las Vegas decided to take a different approach to the problem the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County District Attorney, Clark County Public Defender’s Office, and the Nevada Department of Corrections are joined forces with a registered 501(c) (3) reentry organization called HOPE for Prisoners. The mission of HOPE for Prisoners is to empower and equip men, women, and young adults who are exiting various arenas of our judicial system to help them successfully reenter and effectively function in mainstream society. HOPE for Prisoner's holistic approach is to encourage and impart HOPE into the ex-offender as they come alongside them and their families in efforts to transform lives and systematically educate society in ways to engage and support them. The program is grounded in the belief that with the proper assistance, ex-offenders returning to the community can overcome the many barriers to effective living that the incarnation experience can create. On Friday, July 18, 2014 at 4:30 pm, HOPE for Prisoners, Inc. will be graduating 29 returning ex-offenders from our intensive pre-vocational leadership workshop, up into the next level of their new life.
