DNA found at one of the crime scenes was able to be paired with a match in the system (as Hoffman has had an active criminal arrest record since 2000). His unique looking Ford F150 truck has also been linked to crime spots. Henderson Police spokesperson described the method of crime operation as approximately 30 second acts that involved usually the entry through the homes' rear, and the fast taking of smaller items like cash and jewelry.
Three different cases are leveled against the defendant with numerous charges or counts. There is a Las Vegas District Court case where he faces 4 counts of owning/possessing a gun by prohibited person. He is due in court on that case in June of this year. Next, there is an isolated home invasion case where he is due to be arraigned tomorrow, April 24th. Next is a case where there are 4 counts of burglary, 4 counts of grand larceny, and additional counts of home invasion. His cumulative bail amount is $260,000 as of this publication.
Hoffman has been appointed a public defender according to court records and there is no word that has negotiated cash bail or a Las Vegas bail bond at this point. That is a relatively huge amount of bail to post for most people.
